Modi dedicates ₹13,430 crore AP initiatives for industrial surge

Amaravati, October 16, 2025:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated development initiatives totalling ₹13,430 crore in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, targeting industrial expansion, energy security, and transport links across districts like Kurnool, Kadapa, Srikakulam, Chittoor, and Krishna. Highlights include a 765 kV transmission line boosting renewable capacity by 6,000 MVA, Orvakal and Kopparthy plug-and-play industrial zones eyeing ₹21,000 crore investments and 100,000 jobs, a ₹960 crore six-lane Sabbavaram-Sheelanagar highway, railway doublings, and a ₹1,730 crore GAIL pipeline from Srikakulam to Angul.
The rollout, blending clean energy and infrastructure, aims to bridge rural-urban gaps and power Andhra's rise toward India's 2047 developed status, with features like a ₹200 crore LPG plant in Chittoor and a ₹360 crore night-vision facility in Krishna.
