The Bharatiya Janata Party unveiled its second batch of 12 candidates for Bihar's assembly elections, spotlighting folk singer Maithili Thakur from Alinagar, a fresh BJP joiner who brings cultural clout to the urban seat. The list, cleared by central leaders, pads the BJP's 101-seat NDA quota, with state chief G Kishan Reddy handing over nomination forms on Wednesday. It follows the first slate featuring heavyweights like Vijay Sinha from Lakhisarai and Renu Devi from Bettiah, as the alliance eyes a repeat 2020 sweep. NDA's seat pact 101 each for BJP and JD(U), 29 for LJP(RV), six for RLM and HAM covers all 243 constituencies, with voting on November 6 and 11, results on 14. JD(U) named 57 nominees, including Anant Singh from Mokama, while LJP(RV) listed 14. Modi rallied booth workers via 'Mera Booth Sabse Majboot,' stressing scheme outreach.
